This blog started because of my desire to record my notes during "kitchen-hunting" . I also realized that there weren't many personal reviews (on modular kitchens and brands) that were available. Most of the websites or blogs or posts in social media that I have come across are usually written by some one in the trade. To add to the confusion, there are a lot of blogs by service providers which have 1 or 2 solitary pictures and no helpful information other than peddling their own brand. While a lot of brands are present on social media, the ratings and reviews swing from the extreme low ones due to a bad experience and extreme high ones from the proprietor or their buddies. It's really difficult to filter through this noise and figure out which of these is a genuine review. This does not help a consumer who is trying to evaluate if these brands are worth investing in or in choosing among different brands.
While I needed an unbiased opinion on the brands, I also wanted to share my funny experiences during this process of "kitchen-hunting" and that's how this blog started off. I also gained a lot of insights and realized that I would have done a lot of things differently, in case I went through this exercise again (even though I don't want to).
Are you in the process of "hunting for a suitable kitchen"? Even if you are designing your own kitchen, do feel free to share your tips and advice here. If you've purchased any of the brands mentioned here, do send in your rating of the brand.
